These are the steps on how to enter State Forms: Hawaii

  • Under 'State Information' details (from the Main Information Sheet), if you put a full-year resident in Hawaii (HI), you'll see the corresponding state forms you need to fill up appear in red.
A. How to Enter Form HI N-11 Pg 1

  1. For Form HI N-11 Pg 1, all you need to do is to look for the red cells that need to fill in. Mostly the cells are calculated.

  1. On Page 2, if the client wants to file the return electronically, click Yes.

  2. Under 'Direct Deposit Information for E-filing and Paper Returns,' we prefer to choose the option where the refund is deposited into a different account.

  3. Then, enter the bank details as needed. Please make sure they are 100% correct.
C. For Form HI N-11, see the below sample.
D. Lastly, Form HI N-356. Please see below how to answer the questions.
E. If the taxpayer has two states of residency in a year, you need to fill it up as shown below; the state forms you need to enter will automatically appear.
