These are the steps on how to enter State Forms: New Jersey

  • Under 'State Information' details (from the Main Information Sheet), if you put a full-year resident in New Jersey (NJ), you'll see the corresponding state forms you need to fill up appear in red.
A. Form NJ 1040 Pg 1

  • You need to enter the County/Municipality code on this page
B. Form NJ 1040 Pg 4

  • On this page, all you need to do here is to confirm if the taxpayer wants to file his return electronically and choose what you are e-filing.
C. Form NJ (Direct Deposit or Direct Debit Worksheet)

  1. Under 'Direct Deposit and Direct Debit Information,' we prefer to choose the option where the refund is deposited into a different account.

  2. Then, enter the bank details as needed. Please make sure they are 100% correct.
D. If the Taxpayer has two states of residency in a year, you need to fill it up as shown below; the state forms you need to enter will automatically appear.
