These are the steps on how to enter State Forms: North Carolina
- Under 'State Information' details (from the Main Information Sheet), if you put a full-year resident in North Carolina (NC), the corresponding state forms you need to fill up appear in red.

A. Form NC D-400
On this form, these are the things that you need to do;
- Enter the county code.
- Answer the following questions according to the taxpayer's information.
- If the Taxpayer wants to file this return electronically, click Yes.
- Choose, The income tax return.
- Under 'Direct Deposit and Direct Debit Information- Electronic Filing Only,' we prefer to choose the option where the refund is deposited into a different account.
- Then, enter the bank details as needed. Please make sure they are 100% correct.

B. Form NC D-400 Pg2
- On this page, you need to certify if the taxpayer has no consumer use tax due.
